In May 2011 I travelled to Shangri-la. Actually you can fly there. It's a town in Yunan Province in South western China that won the right to use the name in tourism competition. From there we drive along 200k of unmade road over a 4000m pass to a holy mountain. We then rode on mules into a hidden valley with no phone signals, no roads, no engines - this was a real Shangri-la. This tune describes the journey. The Om Mani Padme Hum loop is from Tsering Tan's incredible album Shangri-la.
